From the financial value perspective, Intangible Operational
Assets are essentially identical to Tangible Operational Assets. And need to be
analyzed and managed accordingly. Not all of them can be upgraded, though. Or
leased.
Therefore, with these assets you are faced with the same
choices – hold (continue using) or sell. And you must address these choices
in exactly the same way – with solid financial models.
